Rodney kissed Spencer on the mouth.
Everything went blurry in Spencer’s vision, except the boy in front of him. His heart sped up to a million miles an hour.
Rodney looked down at the ground.
They were behind the bike racks in one corner of the playground, obscured but not totally hidden from view.
“I--” Spencer started.
Rodney cleared his throat, and started to say something. Then Spencer grabbed his hand and tugged.
“Let’s go to the library.”
They let go of each other, and Rodney followed Spencer. They found their way to the back of the school library, making piles of books to hide behind on a desk.
They kissed there, again.
